I gave an informative speech in my CAS 100A class at Penn State Hazleton. My speech was about the addiction people can have to fast food. In my presentation, I covered four main points. The first point was what an addiction is. The remaining three topics were what causes addictions, what the craving signs are, and the addictive ingredients in fast food.

Informative Speech Self Evaluation
I would rate my informative speech with an A. I feel I presented a very informative speech with sufficient details. I feel I also had proper citations, and used them when I needed to. My transitions were okay, but I feel I could have linked them a little bit better than I did. I over viewed my points, and gave enough information for each. I spoke loud and clear for my audience to understand my presentation. I recapped my main points and concluded.
I feel I could have improved my speech by eliminating fillers. I used “um” a few times, and I feel I would be a more effective speaker if I eliminate them. I also feel I should mastered my information a little bit better in order to make the presentation smoother. The end of my speech was a little persuasive, so I must remember the type of speech I am giving and remain on topic.
