In my CAS 100A class at Penn State Hazleton, I gave a persuasive speech on avoiding the dependence of fast food. In my speech, I reviewed what an addiction is and how you get addicted, and illness and diseases you can get from eating too much fast food.

Persuasive Speech Self Evaluation
For my persuasive speech, I would rate my presentation with an A. I feel I was effective, and presented a clear goal of persuasion. I previewed my main points and justified them with credible sources. I feel I gave sufficient details and had well-cited sources. I gave my speech in a logical, well organized fashion. My points were ethical because most of the population agrees that fast food addiction is becoming a well known problem. I did not include moving stories, or events, but I feel I made an emotional impact on my audience because the addiction to fast food is becoming a problem. For my conclusion, I recapped my main points. I listed my sources and gave proper credit to the ones that I got my information from.
I could have known my information a little more. Before I gave my speech I felt I knew my material and was comfortable with it. When I delivered I wasn't as prepared as I had hoped. I also feel I could have transitioned from my arguments more smooth. I jumped from one topic to the next with out a proper introduction to the point.
